Golf in the Sun (G.I.T.S) is a golfing group for golfers who either live on the Costa Del Sol, or who regularly holiday here, and look for green fee discounts and competition golf.
Golf in the Sun was originally formed twelve years ago by a group of friends who decided they wanted to play their golf at different courses on the coast but were not prepared to pay the very expensive green fees that were being charged.

By joining forces they found they had better bargaining power with the 100 odd courses in Andalusia

Golf in the Sun became very popular and now boasts a membership of over 3,000 golfers and counting.…

The attraction of reduced green fees, coupled with a minimum of 10 competitions at 10 different courses throughout the year, coupled with a number of escorted golfing away, trips have proved a popular concept.
Unlike other golfing groups, there is no joining fee to become a member of the Golf in the Sun.  All we need is your name, email and handicap.  Members will then be kept updated of the various golfing activities via our website and email.

The winner of the “Spence Clarke Race to South Africa” will be the player with best five cumulative scores from all rounds played during the year.  Our Annual winner last year was Fredrik Falkengren who, with girlfriend Alena, enjoyed a fabulous 7 night stay at wonderful Fancourt Golf and Spa.
