It’s a fact that whenever we chat with golfing friends these days, cruise holidays are always at the forefront of the conversation.

The question that is pretty much always asked during these discussions is “don’t you know any good golfing cruises we can enjoy?” with the answer invariably being “well, nothing that really rocks our boat” (sorry about the pun!).

But you can only resist the inevitable for so long and, with many voices echoing in our ears, we took some time out to check many cruise lines to see if they either did their own golf cruises, or would be agreeable to our offering our own golfing itinerary as an alternative option to their own schedule of shore excursions.

After communication with various companies, we were delighted when, probably the very best luxury cruise line of them all, Silversea, contacted us confirming that they would be very happy to collaborate with us.

We diligently delved into Silversea’s various cruising options, looking for golf opportunities and, hey presto, found what we think is a fantastic cruise with super golf opportunities on a Caribbean Cruise in December 2025 that we believe has everything, including wonderful sightseeing in this beautiful and relaxing part of the world.

The holiday starts with an overnight stay in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on the 1st of December.

The next day, the 2nd of December, we board the the very new and contemporary Silver Ray Cruise Liner which will set sail for the Caribbean at 7.00pm.  We will be at sea for two days giving us time to recuperate fully from the jetlag of our transatlantic flights from Europe.  Our first golfing stop will be on the third day of the cruise at the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, in the U.S. Virgin Islands (playing the Bahia Beach Resort and Golf Club), we then visit St John, also in the U.S Virgin Islands, where palm fringed shores meet vibrant coral reefs, cruising next to St Barts unique yacht filled capital harbour town of Gustavia, followed by our second golfing stop in St Kitts (where we play the Royal St Kitts Golf Course), finally onto the lush beaches and hidden harbours of Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands, before sailing back to ‘the Venice of America’ Fort Lauderdale 10 days later.

Bahia Beach Resort and Golf Club – San Juan – 5th of December

 

 

The first round of golf will be at the very beautiful Bahia Beach Resort and Golf Club in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Friday December the 5th.

This exclusive stretch of land is golfing perfection, with views of pristine blue waters and the El Yunque national rain forest. Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones JR with 15 of 18 holes bordering water.

You will be transferred in comfort from the San Juan Cruise Terminal and taken the 35 minute transfer by coach to the golf course for a first tee time of 10.30 returning to the cruise liner after your round.

 

Royal St Kitts Golf Club – St Kitts – 8th of December

 

 

The second round of golf will be at the very prestigious Royal St Kitts Golf Club on the scenic island of St Kitts on Monday the 8th of December.

The Royal St. Kitts Golf Club is a spectacular Caribbean golf course. Originally opened in 1976 and recently renovated, Royal St. Kitts is one of the best maintained and most scenic golf courses in the Caribbean.  The extraordinary layout boasts water hazards on 10 holes, 80 bunkers and a multitude of coconut palm trees along the Atlantic Ocean.

Once again, you will be transferred in comfort from the St Kitts Cruise Terminal and taken the 15 minute transfer by coach to the golf course for a first tee time of 10.00 returning to the cruise liner after your round.

 

At the end of the Cruise

 

At the cruise’s conclusion we arrive back in Fort Lauderdale, but that’s not the end of the the trip, oh no, as upon debarkation we will head off to the Trump National Doral Resort, just a 45 minute drive from the cruise terminal, for a two night stay and another round of golf.

 

Trump National Doral Golf Resort – Florida – 12th of December

 

 

Trump National Doral Miami is a golf resort in Doral in South Florida in the United States. It was founded by real estate pioneer Alfred Kaskel in 1962, with the name “Doral” coming from an amalgamation of the first names of Kaskel and his wife, Doris. It currently has 72 holes of golf and its signature course is the Blue Monster at Doral.

In February 2012, the Trump Organization purchased the Doral Resort & Spa out of bankruptcy for $150 million. The property’s name was then changed to Trump National Doral. Trump began a $250-million renovation of the resort in 2013, which was completed in 2016.

After settling into your room on the 12th of December we will get prepared to play the famous ‘Blue Monster’ Golf Course the next day.

 

Blue Monster – Florida – 13th of December

 

 

WHAT’S INCLUDED BEFORE AND AFTER THE CRUISE

 

• Transfer from Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport and overnight stay on the 1st of December at a minimum 4* hotel in Fort Lauderdale and transfer to Cruise Terminal on the 2nd of December.
• At the end of the cruise, transfer in comfort from Fort Lauderdale Cruise Terminal to Trump National Doral Golf Resort.
• Two night stay at the Trump National Doral Resort staying in a Deluxe Guest Room (King or Two Queen Beds)
• Breakfast daily per person, per night
• Late 2pm check-out (based on availability at time of Check In)
• One round of golf on the Trump Blue Monster course.

Not Included:-

• Meals not specified, international flights, spending money, phone calls, travel insurance.
• Minibars not specified and tipping/gratuities.

 

Trump National Doral Golf Resort – Florida – 14th of December

 

At the end of our stay you’ll be transferred in comfort to Fort Lauderdale Airport, before boarding your outbound flight back home.

All prices are subject to availability. Bookings will only be confirmed once the deposit has been received. Please note – Our price includes the Silversea ‘Port to Port’ itinerary and does not include Trans Atlantic flights.

IMPORTANT: The price for the Silversea Cruise is in Euros and will not change.  The price for the non cruise part of this quotation has been calculated at the exchange rate of 1.11 euros to the US Dollar.  While the 25% deposit payment will be confirmed at this rate, the final 75% payment will be at the exchange rate applicable in July 2025.  This could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the rate at the time.   

• Price is inclusive of VAT, tourism levies and other taxes
• Only electronic bank transfer payment accepted – no credit cards
• Travel insurance is not included

Passport Requirements:-

To travel to the United States, you will need a passport that meet the following requirements:-

• Validity

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your intended stay in the United States, unless you are exempt you are exempt due to a country-specific agreement.

• E-Passport

If you are using the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) you will need an passport with an embedded chip.  You can identify an e-passport by the symbol on the cover.

• Blank Pages

U.U. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recommends that your passport have at least one blank page available for a stamp if you are admitted to the United States.
