South Africa – “The Golfing Trip of a Lifetime”

We have been searching for that special golfing trip that has something for everyone, which includes the avid golfer and the avid non golfing partner, and we believe we have found it with a trip to South Africa that should suit all !

Why South Africa ?

Quite simply, it has everything.  Super golf (obviously), fantastic scenery, stunning and unique wildlife and safari parks, lush winelands and wonderful beaches, the famous Garden Route and the capital Cape Town beneath flat topped Table Mountain, and all of this with just a 1 hour time difference from Western Europe (so no dreaded jet lag !).  The trip is tailored to include all of this plus much more……

This is a 12 night 13 day adventure taking in both of South Africa’s major cities, Johannesburg and Cape Town, a trip on the world famous “Blue Train”, an overnight safari experience, and golf at five of South Africa’s top courses.

Starting with a two night stay at the 5* Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg, including golf at the famous Glendower Golf Course, the trip then takes in a two night trip on the fabulous and exclusive “Blue Train” in deluxe suites to Cape Town.  The 5* Table Bay Hotel on the V & A Waterfront becomes your home for the next three nights which will include a round at South Africa’s oldest golf course, The Royal Cape.  Onward for an overnight stay at The Garden Route Game Lodge before continuing the journey to South Africa’s No 1 golfing mecca of Fancourt, where you will stay in Luxury Rooms and play all three courses.

Interested ?  What golfer (or non golfer) wouldn’t be ? (see below for the full itinerary).

The Michelangelo Hotel, a member of “The Leading Hotels of the World”, is the perfect complement to Sandton’s exclusive central business district. With its signature Renaissance architecture, elegance and service excellence, The Michelangelo creates a lasting impression from the moment you arrive.

We’ll visit the famous VOC Kasteel (Dutch East India Company Castle) situated a mere 2-minute walk from the beautiful city centre and the only castle in South Africa that dates out of the 1600’s.

Afterwards we’ll visit the Bo-Kaap and Table Mountain. A visit to Cape Town isn’t complete unless you’ve ventured up the world renowned Table Mountain.

Since the first person laid eyes on Table Mountain, it has exerted its powerful and charismatic pull, enchanting and drawing any and all who fall under its spell. Since it’s opening in 1929, the Table Mountain Cableway has taken over 16 million people to the top of Table Mountain.
